DIY Simple Syrup Squeeze Bottle

Hey Sunshine!
This is the EASIEST DIY project you will ever see in your life! It is so easy that the video is only a minute long and it really doesn’t even need explaining!! First off do you know what Simple Syrup is?

What is Simple Syrup?

Simple Syrup is just a sugar water mixture that you put on your cakes before you ice them to keep them moist and delicious!! You may have heard of this before on ‘How To Cake It’ with Yolanda Gampp! She has instructions on how to make Simple Syrup on her website. She also sells a Simple Syrup Bottle that she has cleverly named “Sir Squeeze A Lot” which is on my wish list! So if you are too lazy to do a DIY bottle-1 why are you here on this post, and 2 go over to Yolanda’s site and buy a pre-made bottle! I myself am on a tight budget and never buy something I can DIY for next to nothing!

Simple Syrup Recipe!

  • 1 part Water
  • 1 part Granulated Sugar

*You can choose however much you want to make, I usually do 1/2 cup at a time because I don’t make ridiculously huge cakes!

I put 1/2 cup of water and 1/2 cup of granulated sugar in a small saucepan and bring it to a boil. Once it starts a rolling boil I remove it from heat and let it cool completely. Then I just pour it into my DIY Simple Syrup Bottle using a funnel and then drizzle on my cooled cakes as I’m about to ice and decorate them.

All you need is:

  • A small water bottle.(You can use a full size but I definitely prefer a small one, Mine is around 10 oz).
  • & A Needle!

  1. Clean out your bottle and take the original label off of it. (Optional: You can add your own cute personalized label for it, I may do that eventually. Its not a necessity though).
  2. Use the Needle to poke between 5-9 holes randomly throughout the lid. *Be careful please*
  3. Fill bottle with Simple Syrup using a funnel. Put the lid back on, and you have your own Simple Syrup Squeeze Bottle!

Thanks for stopping by guys & I hope you enjoy this quick Simple Video showing how I made this super quick and easy Squeeze bottle for next to nothing! Subscribe to My Youtube Channel for more DIY’s to come, Stay Sunny!

(I by no means mean to disrespect Yolanda in any way, If you want to go buy her bottle I fully encourage it because I love Yolanda and if I could, I’d go get one myself! This is just a more budget friendly alternative for us cheapskate DIY-ers)
